Most of us think that being hard on ourselves is what drives results. Hustle. Grind. Fear. The inner critic. We’ve trained ourselves to believe that’s what works.

But here’s the truth: it works until it burns you out.

If you actually want higher performance, faster recovery, and long-term success, the secret isn’t pushing harder. It’s practicing self-compassion. Not fluffy, feel-good stuff. The science shows it increases resilience, motivation, and performance.
